The dive season runs from mid-late October to the end of April, and we run daily trips throughout this period. We are open all year round, but during the low season conditions are less favourable and the weather dictates if it is possible to take the boat out.

Learning to dive is an experience that changes your life. Allowing yourself to breathe underwater is strange at first, and the feeling of weightlessness is both exhilarating and freeing. Most people find the time they spend underwater is both deeply relaxing and full of awe-inspiring beauty. It can be challenging to overcome your fears and anxieties, but we are here to help you and to make your underwater experiences as rewarding as possible.

Narima's 3-tiered swimming pool is a great way to ease into a course gently. We are keen for you to learn at your own pace and encourage our students to take as much time as they need to get confident in the pool before completing the open water sections of the course. We keep group sizes small to ensure you receive maximum benefit from your tuition. Our emphasis is on safety, fun and personal service within a relaxed and stress-free environment.

If you're interested in Underwater Videography and Photography then you've come to the right place.

We offer PADI Speciality courses in Underwater Photography and Underwater Videography. Narima Diving is home to Liquid Lense a well established and published Underwater Videography and Photography company. (www.liquidlense.co.uk)

Narima Diving is proud to announce the arrival of their purpose built dive boat - 'Moskito'. It can comfortably accommodate 20 divers and snorkellers and has a spacious indoor cabin, sundeck on the upper deck and 18 tank racks on each side of the dive platform. The boat departs from Narima's private bay each day with a short transfer by dinghy from the beach.
Diving and snorkelling is done by fully equipped boat from Ko Lanta. We usually make two dives each day. The absolute maximum depth we dive to is 30m, although most dives are to a maximum depth of 18m and last no longer than 60 mins. You will be accompanied by a PADI professional Divemaster or Instructor at all times.

The three main dive destinations we make daily trips to are:
All trips include boat rental, equipment hire, an experienced dive guide or Instructor, small groups, towel, lunch, fruit, soft drinks and water. Non-diving friends and family are more than welcome to come along to swim, snorkel, sunbathe and enjoy the day out on the boat. We normally leave the resort at 7.45am and return at about 2.00pm - in plenty of time to enjoy an afternoon relaxing by the pool and a cocktail while the sun sets over the horizon at Narima.

The water temperature in the Andaman Sea ranges between 28-32 degrees C, making diving conditions extremely pleasurable and great place for beginners and experienced divers alike.

Ko Haa offers beautiful diving with spectacular visibility and is suitable for divers and snorkellers of all levels.

Ko Haa’s highlights include a series of caverns and swim-throughs. The largest cavern has three chambers. The first two chambers are connected by a shallow swim through at about 9 m. There are also various chimneys and other cave systems to explore.

Ko Haa has a central lagoon area that is ideal for beginners. It offers a safe and relaxed starting point for you to take your first underwater breaths and there are some extremely friendly little Porcupine Puffer Fish, ready to make your acquaintance in the large, sandy bay area. The bay slopes gently onto the reef allowing you to progress into your first dive effortlessly.

The marine life that can be found at Ko Haa varies from rare Ghost Pipefish measuring only a few centimetres, to an abundance of Octopus hiding amongst the rocks and crevices. A Hawksbill Turtle is often seen swimming amongst the pristine coral. The clear waters and consistent visibility of 25m+ make Ko Haa an un-forgettable diving destination.

With year round diving to rival the Similans, Ko Phi Phi's 30+ dive sites are great for beginners and experienced divers alike.

Phi Phi is best known for its fabulous Sea Fans and as home of the Leopard Shark. The rugged limestone cliffs that plunge into clear aquamarine waters make Ko Phi Phi an unforgettable destination for holidaymakers and divers alike.

Underwater, the scenery only becomes more breathtaking. With long caves, dramatic overhangs, walls that go down to 30 m and a fabulous display of hard and soft coral, the diving around Phi Phi is varied and spectacular.

Hin Daeng and Hin Muang are the deepest drop-offs in Thailand. They are world-class dive sites and provide some of the most stunning diving in the area, with a high chance of seeing Manta Rays and even Whale Sharks.

The greater depths and currents make these sites suitable for Advanced divers or Open Water divers with 20+ dives.

Hin Daeng, 'Red Rock', and Hin Muang, 'Purple Rock', are named after the beautiful red and purple corals that cover the pinnacles. Located 70km south of Ko Lanta, they boast good visibility, unless the waters become extremely plankton-rich. It is this plankton that attracts the larger marine-life and there is a good chance of finding Manta Rays and passing Whale Sharks throughout the season.

The Similans Islands are considered to be one of the top ten dive destinations in the world. Located 100 km northwest of Phuket, the Similan Islands comprise nine granite islands covered in tropical jungle, unspoilt white sandy beaches and the clearest blue waters you can imagine. The islands are protected under the Thai National Park Authority, which contributes to the magnificent quality of colourful soft corals, fans, prolific fish life, crystalline waters and sensational underwater rock formations.

Trips to the Similans are usually done by liveaboard boat and you can book as either a diving or non-diving guest. Non-divers can experience some of the best snorkeling in the world. Although some diving is possible all year round, the National Park only admits liveaboard trips during the high season, which runs from October until May. This is also when you can expect to experience the best diving.

The Andaman Sea lies to the west of Thailand and is home to the most diverse collection of marine-life in the world. You'll find, not only the best diving in Thailand, but also some of the finest diving in the world. From tiny shrimps and nudibranches to the largest fish in the sea - the Whale Shark, you can expect to find creatures to thrill you and underwater scenery that will take your breath away.

Thailand's reefs are generally in excellent condition. Many National Marine Parks have been created to help preserve the reefs and locally much is done to educate fishermen and boat captains to use low impact fishing methods and mooring buoys, rather than to drop anchor onto live coral. Within the National Marine Parks, fishing is only permitted to local fishermen and is discouraged around the major dive sites.

At Narima Diving we actively support ecologically responsible diving practices and conduct all our teaching in Narima's swimming pool. We encourage divers who have not dived for a while to take a refresher course and buoyancy check in the pool before taking a dive trip out to the reef. We keep group sizes small and fully brief all our divers on responsible diving practices before each dive.
By doing this we hope to help conserve Thailand's beautiful reefs for many generations to come. We also hope that our divers feel more confident, safe and relaxed when diving from the boat so that they enjoy their time diving more fully.
